The Biggest Human Contradiction

The biggest contradiction of human existence is the fact that, oftentimes, people do what they do not want to do while they don’t do what they are supposed to do.

This is an everyday struggle for many people.

More often than not, people set up some goals that they want to achieve within a certain time schedule, but instead they go on doing all sorts of things which have nothing to do with their original intention

For example…

They want to learn something new, but instead they spend loads of time reading about other topics, browsing through social media, or watching unnecessary news.

They want to increase their fitness, but instead they go on postponing the initial days of doing some physical exercises.

They want to become emotionally stronger, but they keep avoiding those situations that would force them to strength their emotions.

They wish to bring more harmony and balance to their lives, but they keep neglecting many of their roles while emphasising only one or two of them.

They desire to reach a more peaceful existence, but instead they keep putting off the moments for doing some meditation, or prayers.

They want to reorient their lives, but they keep waiting for the perfect scenario, which will never be the right one to get started with.

They wish to increase their income, but they keep spending more than what their earn or they postpone the necessary skill development that would give them a higher salary.

And, like that, there are thousands of everyday examples of setting specific and achievable goals, but for some inhumane reasons, we fail to keep our own commitments and end up spinning in a nonsensical, unfruitful and dissatisfying merry-go-round of wishful thinking and daydreaming.

Meanwhile, the strangest of all things is that some folks blame the society, the economy, the stars, the spouse, the boss, the company and even the culture for not getting what they should be working to get done.

Isn’t it the biggest contradiction of human existence?

So, if you find yourself somehow connected to this irresponsible group, bear mind that it is never too late to change your perception about your own capacities, your strengths and your possibilities so that you can gain the necessary lucidity and courage to go out there and pursue, steadfastly and determinedly, your own goals.

And you do it because, at the end of the day, they are your own goals and no one else’s. Therefore, you should strive to accomplish them.

And, by doing so, you reduce the number of people who live under a spell of self-denial, self-sabotage and self-lethargy, which, as a result, improves the overall manifestation of accomplished, inspiring and mature people who enrich and transform this magnificent journey called life.
