Talents and Fears
Human beings have unlimited talents.
If one just takes a little time to observe one’s surroundings, he will be amazingly impressed by the quantity of splendid, inspiring, and admirable objects, innovations and creations that are clearly manifested everywhere. All of them come from human talents and ingenuity.
However, I believe that life could be a much, much, much richer, inspiring, and happier journey if everyone had the courage to fully use their talents.
Oftentimes, I speak with people and, I must confess that, many are not where they would like to be because…
… they are afraid of failures.
… they are scared of disappointments.
… they are frightened of being judged by other people.
Or because they live in an unrealistic and belittling self-conscious and self-judgmental realm, that they spend day-after-day procrastinating the manifestation of their talents.
It is certainly a painful, yet curious, situation when a person is blocked by imaginary fears or obstacles, of her own creation.
Unquestionably, I am not saying that some fears are not real, but what I’ve observed is that, predominantly, people’s fears are creations that they invent aiming to find an excuse for their lack of courage, their lack of discipline, or their lack of persistence.
Consequently, they are often feeding their fears up to a point that they become a horrendous and untamable monster, which freezes the volition and stops any individual attempt.
However, this does not have to be the reality of one’s life because another point that I’ve observed is that whenever we face our fears, we discover that they are not as frightening as we think, nor they are as overpowering as we imagine.
Therefore, when we are aware of the fearful imaginations that we’ve used to create little blockers to our progress, we can curtail their impact and, as a result, there will be more and more space for the manifestation of our talents and dreams, which are unlimited by nature.
