Outside, during Brahma muhūrta, it is gently drizzling, little drops of rain create a special rhythm beating on the tree leaves

Inside, in the company of Naṭarājaji, an endearing cosmic cadence moves each atom of this temple.

Outside, the darkness of the night hides everything from perception

Inside, there is an inner light whose beams are revealing and soothing.

Outside, there is an agonizing struggle resisting the natural process of His flow

Inside, there is a conscious recognition of His immortal and ever-present upward whirling.

Outside, a sleepy world rests before the hustle and bustle of the new day unfolds

Inside, awake and aware, there is an invigorating and charming atmosphere of peace.

Outside, there is joy and sorrow, omissions and commissions, praise and blame, fortune and adversities.

Inside, there is a mellifluous hymn of understanding describing His undifferentiated equanimity.

Outside, things seem to be chaotic, distressing, aggressive, and conflicting

Inside, subtle changes in perception unfold a mesmerizing and balanced refinement of cognition.

Outside, the world thinks, feels, speaks, and acts through the body-mind-sense complex

Inside, detachment, discernment, discipline, and freedom adorn the beauty of the soul.

Outside, there is indolence, confusion, and forgetfulness

Inside, a gracious and harmonious liberation encircles the whole universe.

Outside, within the all-devouring time and space realm, He plays along as forms and colors

Inside, in the timelessness and changelessness of eternity, He exposes His true nature.

Outside, ravaging expressions of fear, anger, and greedy conflicts and weakens the individual

Inside, a natural bravery, an instinctive love, and an intrinsic peace enliven the soul.

Outside, the differentiating and ever-changing poetry of life enlightens the wonderful show of existence

Inside, there is simply Oneness, the all-encompassing verse of His poetic energy.

Om Māheśvaraya Namaḥ!
