Happiness is a serious business, but not in the sense of a rigid, taciturn or gloomy undertaking, but rather from a systematic, inquisitive and unbiased pursuit towards the understanding of its irrevocable nature, true manifestations and undeniable implications.

Generally, life is like a pendulum that swings people’s sensations from ecstasy to sorrow in a matter of seconds, from satisfied to disappointed in a blink of an eye, and from successful to useless as fast as a lightning bolt.

Therefore, considering that contentment is one of the main goals that people are striving to accomplish all the time, it is a paradoxical and contradictory reality the fact that almost everyone does not give much attention towards understanding the true foundations of happiness.

Basically, from an early age, people are exposed to ideas and concepts that, as time goes by, become strongly rooted in their psyche and, as far as happiness is concerned, the first knowledge, or lack of it, comes from the family and, even though people tend to ignore it, most individuals go throughout life manifesting, even unconsciously, what they absorbed during their childhood. However foolish and absurdly erroneous it may be.

Consequently, most of the individual’s demands, reactions and pursuits are highly influenced by what they believe happiness to be, by what they think gives them joy as well as by what they perceive to be a blocker to their contentment, even though all these individual perceptions may tremendously differ from what happiness really means. Actually, in most cases, it is a limited, biased and constricted view of happiness. And such a prejudiced perspective is the cause of most people’s sorrow, sadness, and emotional breakdowns.

Therefore, it is always a happy endeavor to take happiness as an inspiringly serious affair.
