Beware of Preachers
We only preach what we need to know the most
If we preach love, it is because we lack it
If we preach peace, it is because we are in a painful battle
If we preach wisdom, it is ignorance that is eating us apart
If we preach understanding, we need more tolerance
If we preach forgiveness, we are haunted by evil deeds
If we preach acceptance, we feel abandoned and lonely
Whatever we preach, we are trying to convince ourselves of it
But we’ve found a welcome ear to listen to it
And we go for it with all our might and mercilessness
But, unbeknown even to ourselves
What we are doing is exposing our weaknesses and sickness
In an unashamed nudity
Simply because we are not aware of it
For if we were, we would be completely quiet
For fear of opening the individual pandora box
And showing how much anger, hatred, jealousy, intolerance, and sorrow
Is burning inside one’s thoughts and feelings
So, beware of preachers
They are the most cunning creatures
Because they’ve managed to deceive themselves
And now, they want to mislead you too.
