A Delicate Insight on the Memory

Memory is a tricky thing because we can never be sure about its integrity and truthfulness. Why do I say it?

Because, as time passes by, we reinvent, twist, recreate, adorn, paint, erase as well as we enrich, remove, transfer, overemphasize, underestimate and do we so many alterations to our memories that, at any given time, it may have completely changed from the last time we recollected it.

Yet, this ever-changing and feeble thread is the only thing that connects us to the sense of who we are at this very moment.

Therefore, isn’t it interesting that who we think we are, is abundantly based on our memories? Yet, these memories are constantly changing based on our experiences and recently acquired knowledge?

So, it is inevitable to conclude that this ever-changing feature of the memory is a quintessential part of our lives that gives us the freedom to completely rewrite it or paint it in whatever color we desire.

Meanwhile, by using the latest version of the memory, we can redefine our present moment and create the basis for any desired future.

So, in essence, these lucid moments about irrevocable facts of existence reveal the strong subtlety, fragility, and malleability of life.
